IDEX-Hale engages InfoPros to update its Installation, Operation and Maintenance manual (July 2008)

InfoPros is pleased to announce that Hale Products, a unit of IDEX, has engaged InfoPros to update its Installation, Operation and Maintenance manual for one of its pump products that is installed on a fire truck. Hale is a Fire and Rescue equipment company. It was founded in 1914 by three Pennsylvania firefighters who believed they could build a better fire pump. Hale has made the strategic decision to outsource its technical documentation, retaining an internal documentation manager who evaluated InfoPros for its long-term fit as an outsourcing partner.

InfoPros is pleased to announce that Pulse Technologies FZ-LLC (dba Pulse Living) has selected InfoPros to create an installation and configuration guide, quick install guide and online help. InfoPros will create the content once in FrameMaker, then re-purpose content for all three deliverables, using Webworks to publish the online help.

Pulse provides remote and on-premise automation for single-family homes, hotels and apartment buildings to control lighting, security, climate control, and entertainment. Pulse is located is Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with software development offices in Nice, France.

Grass Valley division of Thomson chooses InfoPros to assist with DITA pilot project plan (January 2008)

InfoPros is pleased to announce that the Grass Valley division of Thomson (NYSE: TOC) has engaged InfoPros to assist them in developing a pilot project plan and tool evaluation for implementing DITA. Based on InfoPros’ recommendations from a previous engagement, Grass Valley is planning to implement DITA, with the goal being to allow for the customization of documents on a client-specific basis, while at the same time reducing both total costs and time to market.

Thomson is a leader in digital video technologies and services. The company is headquartered in France and reported revenues of $7.7 billion. Grass Valley is located in Portland, Oregon.

Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) selects InfoPros for user documentation development (January 2008)

InfoPros is pleased to announce that Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has selected InfoPros to develop the User Manual for SOE's Network Platform and to update and enhance their User Manuals for SOE's Customer Service Tool and Platform/Product Management Tool. SOE has revenues of $150 million and is headquartered in San Diego. SOE is owned by Sony Corporation, which is headquartered in Tokyo with revenues of $70 billion.

SOE is expanding its back-end platform to encourage external developers to build on its platform. To help capture market share and cultivate loyalty, SOE wants to make it easy for developers to use the platform by providing effective, user-friendly documentation. SOE selected InfoPros because of InfoPros' skill sets; very technical skills are needed to understand the platform and the needs of external developers and gain the confidence of SOE's developers.
